Do we need to be good at drawing?
Not at all!
In fact, most of our hen party groups tell us they haven't drawn since school.
Our experienced hosts guide everyone through the class with plenty of encouragement, easy-to-follow techniques and lots of laughter.
It's designed to be fun rather than serious, so absolutely anyone can take part.
Many hens are amazed by what they create—and often say it's one of the highlights of the whole weekend.
Is the model really nude?
Yes—unless you'd prefer something different.
Most of our hen party bookings choose a traditional nude life drawing experience, but we're happy to tailor the class if you'd prefer the model to wear underwear or themed clothing.
Just let us know before your booking and we'll arrange everything.
Can the life drawing class be a surprise for the bride?
Absolutely!
Many groups keep the activity a complete surprise until the model arrives, and it's always one of our favourite moments.

How long does the hen party life drawing class last?
Our standard session lasts 90 minutes, which fits perfectly into most hen party itineraries.
Whether you're booking before dinner, between activities or as the main event of the afternoon, we'll help you choose the best time.
Do you accept mixed hen parties?
Yes.
We regularly host mixed groups and can provide either a male or female model depending on your preference.
Simply let us know when booking so we can tailor the experience to suit your group.
What should we wear?
Whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Most hen party groups come dressed in their daytime outfits, robes or matching hen party T-shirts.
Fancy dress is always welcome too—we love seeing everyone's creativity!
Can we have the class outdoors?
If the weather is kind and your venue has a private outdoor space, absolutely.
The area must be completely private and not overlooked by neighbours or members of the public.
Can some of the hens just watch?
To keep things fair for everyone, the class is for paying participants only. This ensures all guests receive the full experience they’ve booked while also respecting the model’s time, professionalism and performance.
Can we add extra hens later?
Yes, wherever possible.
If more guests decide to join your hen party, please let us know as soon as possible so we can prepare enough equipment and materials.
We'll always do our very best to accommodate extra guests.
How much does a hen party life drawing class cost?
Our Hen Party Life Drawing Class starts from £30 per person when booked as part of a stay at Norfolk House – The Scarlet Hen.
For groups staying elsewhere or hosting the class at their own venue, prices start from £35 per person.

Please note that venue hire is not included. If you’re arranging the class in a hired room, hotel, village hall or another venue, any hire costs are payable directly to the venue.
If you’re planning to host the class at your own accommodation, we recommend checking with the property owner or venue beforehand to ensure they are happy for a life drawing class to take place.
How do we book?
Booking your hen party life drawing class is easy.

A £100 deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due one month before your event.
Can we request a particular model?
We work with a small team of experienced professional life drawing hosts who have been entertaining hen party groups for many years.
While we can't guarantee a specific model, every Scarlet Pen host is friendly, professional and brilliant at making groups feel relaxed from the moment they arrive.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes.
All guests attending a Scarlet Pen life drawing experience must be 18 years or over.
What happens if someone drops out of the hen party?
We understand that plans can sometimes change.
Our booking terms explain everything in full, but in summary:

Deposits are non-refundable.

If your group size changes before the balance due date, we'll always do our best to help where possible.

Once the final balance has been paid, refunds cannot usually be offered.
